  • What is a puppy mill?
Puppy mills are bad. Typically the dogs spend twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week in cages, with often little to no contact with people or the outside world. This impacts their overall health and temperament. The operators have been known to mistreat the animals. They do not view them as pets but a paycheck. They often breed the females their whole lives until they are physically incapable. Once they can no longer breed, the dogs are known to be abandoned or even killed. We do not support puppy mills! It is important to do your research before purchasing a puppy to ensure the health of your new puppy. At Arlington Frenchies, we do not breed our dogs until they over a year in a half even if they go into heat early. We only breed our females up to three times. And only then, if they are in good physical condition and capable of carrying out a healthy full-term pregnancy. Our dogs are our family and live in our homes. Because we love them, we are proud to grow their lineage. Their health and overall well-being is most important.
